Information for companies for consideration of the introduction of Memorandum of Understanding with the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus
The State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus has concluded Memoranda of Understanding with major world producers of products of well-known brands supplied to the Republic of Belarus since 2006.
To date, Memoranda of Understanding have been concluded with such companies as DaimlerAG, BMWAG, AUDIAG, ScaniaCVAB, MANTrack & BusAG, Dr.Sc. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche, Brembo S.p.A., ProfineGmbH, Salamander Industrie-Produkte GmbH, Robert Bosch AG and others.
Memoranda of understanding are concluded with a view to simplifying and automating customs control procedures with respect to imported goods and provide for systematic information on the prices and terms of sale of such goods by the manufacturers of goods of the customs bodies of the Republic of Belarus.
Memoranda of understanding are concluded directly with the firms producing goods.
To consider the issue of concluding a Memorandum of Understanding, the manufacturer of the goods is requested to send a written request to the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus in an arbitrary form, from which the intention of the company to sign the corresponding agreement with the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus containing the following information will follow:
- information about the manufacturer of the goods, including a historical reference on the company's activities, major sales markets and volumes of production, as well as on trade partner companies in the Republic of Belarus;
- information about the products produced by the company.
To the appeal it is offered to attach copies of the existing foreign economic contracts, within the framework of which the goods are delivered to the Republic of Belarus, as well as the current price list of the producer of the goods.
Documents provided by the manufacturer are considered within one month from the date of their receipt.
If the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus decides to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (after receiving a written response), it is additionally necessary to provide:
- power of attorney for a person authorized to sign documents on behalf of the company;
- an extract from the trade register issued by the authorized body in the country in which the company is registered.
At the same time, a power of attorney and an extract from the trade register must be apostilled in accordance with the Hague Convention repealing the requirements for the legalization of foreign official documents, dated October 5, 1961, and provided with a translation into Russian (with a notarization of the translator's signature).
