About 5 thousand foreign trade participants economic submit customs declarations in electronic form
In order to create a barrier-free environment for business, the technological component of customs business is radically changed and improved. And, first of all, due to the use of information technology.
The introduction of electronic declaration and, subsequently, a number of other automated systems became possible due to the availability of the extensive telecommunications infrastructure of the customs authorities.
The electronic declaration system has been functioning since 2008. Today almost 100% of declarations for goods are filed electronically. And this is about five thousand foreign trade participants. In 2017, 400 business entities joined the application of information technology when submitting a customs declaration.
The use of electronic declarations helps to increase the number of goods and vehicles to be processed, to reduce their time at checkpoints, and to automatically release goods - the introduction of new technologies.
