Attempt to move new goods under the guise of used goods was stopped by customs officers
Brest customs officers found a large consignment of goods moving across the border of the Eurasian Economic Union with violation of legislation at Kozlovichi republican customs clearance point.
According to the accompanying documents, used clothes, shoes and bags were imported from Poland by a DAF truck.
However, during the customs control operations it was established that among the goods there are more than 6 thousand undeclared items with a total value of over 55 thousand Belarusian rubles. About 2.5 thousand of new shoes and bags were moved under the guise of used goods. Another 3.5 thousand units of various goods (costume jewelry, accessories for mobile equipment, decorative products, tableware and other household utensils) were not declared.
The business entity tried to save more than 15,000 Belarusian rubles on customs payments.
Brest customs initiated the administrative proceedings regarding the violation of legislation the in accordance with Part 1 and Part 3 of Art. 14.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus.
The articles provide for fines of up to 30% of the cost of administrative offenses.
