Auto parts were not illegally imported
Grodno customs officials stopped an attempt to import a batch of auto parts in violation of the customs legislation into the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The driver of the MAN vehicle followed from Lithuania through Kamenny Log checkpoint. He presented documents on diesel engines to the registration. Based on the results of the inspection of the vehicle with the use of the x-ray inspection system, the car was sent for further inspection. It was established that more than 60 radiators and air filters for cars were in the vehicle cargo area without accompanying documents.
The attempt of the business entity to save about 20,000 Belarusian rubles to pay customs fees resulted in the seizure of illegally moved auto parts valued at more than 85,000 rubles.
Grodno regional customs initiated the administrative process regarding the fact of non-declaration of goods in accordance with Part 1 of Art. 14.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus.
