Belarus is at the forefront of the implementation of the Customs Code of the EAEU regulations- Chairman of the SCC
The changes in the customs legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union and the mechanisms for its practical implementation are discussed at the conference. The SCC Chairman noted that many of the projects laid down in the EAEU Customs Code in Belarus are already being systematically implemented. Now almost all declarations for goods are provided in electronic form. The implementation of advanced technologies contributed to reducing the time of customs operations. So, in less than 5 minutes 72% of export is made out, within 10 minutes 75% of transit goods are released. At the initiative of the State Customs Committee, the Code establishes the basis for the organization of automatic release of goods.
"The national customs service is at the forefront of implementing pilot projects on the automatic release of exports, imports and transit. The number of declarations drawn up without the participation of customs officials is in line with the indicators set by the main directions of development of the country's customs service for 2016-2020. In the future, we will try to maintain the development momentum. Our initiatives will concern the simplification of the movement of transit goods, the construction of the Belarusian part of the external contour of the customs border of the EAEU will continue, "Yury Senko said.
Currently, the single Eurasian market is regarded as one of the main sources of growth in the economies of the countries participating in the integration education, including - through free movement of goods. "This cannot be achieved without the maximum simplification of administrative procedures, reducing formalities and eliminating unnecessary barriers. I am confident that the use of the best international practices focused on the use of information technology, a risk management system, will significantly enhance the work of entities engaging in foreign economic activity"- said the head of the State Customs Committee.
Representatives of customs services of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, their foreign colleagues from Latvia and Poland, officials of the Eurasian Economic Commission, as well as representatives of Belarusian and foreign business take part in the conference.
