Brest customs officers seized pyrotechnic products prohibited for movement across customs border
Brest customs officers found more than 750 undeclared pyrotechnic products (firecrackers) in an Audi A6 car at Mokrany checkpoint. The products were concealed in hard-to-reach places and in a specially equipped hiding place.
An 18-year-old resident of the Brest region tried to illegally import pyrotechnics, forbidden to move across the border, from Ukraine into the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. At the entrance to Belarus, he chose the “green” corridor.
Brest customs initiated the administrative process against the citizen in accordance with Part 2 of Art. 14.1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The car and the pyrotechnic products hidden in it with a total cost over 8 thousand Belarusian rubles were seized until the court decision.
The State Customs Committee reminds that individual entrepreneurs and legal entities can bring pyrotechnics to the territory of the Republic of Belarus if there are permits issued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and, accordingly, declaring it. The movement of pyrotechnic products across the customs border by individuals as goods for personal use is prohibited.
