Illegal import of batch of computer components was stopped by customs officers
Officials of Brest customs prevented an attempt to smuggle a batch of expensive devices for computers into the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.
A 41-year-old individual entrepreneur followed by an Iveco car through Domachevo checkpoint and moved the batch of computer supplies. According to the documents submitted to the registration, motherboards and video cards with the total cost of about 18 thousand US dollars were imported from Lithuania to the recipient company of Minsk.
However, during the customs control it was established that these documents were invalid: the sending country was incorrectly specified, and the present value of the goods was more than three times the declared value.
320 motherboards and 120 video cards worth more than 115 thousand Belarusian rubles were seized. Brest customs initiated the administrative process against the citizen in accordance with Part 3 of Art. 14.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus.
