More than 6 thousand components for electric locomotives were illegally moved across Belarusian-Polish border
Combined goods worth more than 40 thousand Belarusian rubles were illegally moved into the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. The violation was revealed by Grodno customs officers at Berestovitsa checkpoint, through which the vehicle of the Kazakh carrier company followed with components for electric locomotives.
During the customs control, the car was sent for inspection, as a result of which 6 thousand more screws, more than 300 pipes and so on without documents were found among the components in the cargo compartment. The total value of the undeclared goods amounted to more than 40 thousand Belarusian rubles. Failure to pay customs duties in this case would be about 13 thousand Belarusian rubles.
Grodno regional customs initiated the administrative process regarding non-declaration of goods in accordance with Part 1 of Art. 14.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The article provides for the imposition of a fine in the amount of up to 30% of the illegally moved goods.
