Russian carrier tried to export 38 tons of "sanction" apples from Belarus under the guise of Italian pastry and sweets (video)
A batch of confectionery was imported into the territory of the EAEU in two road trains belonging to a Russian carrier company. The cars followed through Kozlovichi checkpoint. However, the drivers were not in a hurry to deliver the goods placed under customs transit to their destination - to the Russian Federation.
The movement of those vehicles was stopped by Operational customs on the M-1 highway. But there were no Italian cookies and sweets in the cargo compartments as indicated in the submitted documents. There were more than 38 tons of fresh apples.
During further special and verification activities, the customs officers found how fruit appeared instead of confectionery in the cargo compartments of the car.
It was established that the semi-trailers with sweets were replaced by semi-trailers with apples on the territory of Belarus. The license plates were installed from the first ones. The fruit were previously imported into Belarus legally and released for free circulation. The perpetrators produced fully fake technical passports and seals for the same cars.
The very same semi-trailers-refrigerators with confectionery products without state license plates were found in one of the car parks located on the M-1 highway.
The fake technical passports and seals were sent for examination, after which the materials will be transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to give an assessment of illegal activities with the documents.
The information will be sent to the Federal Customs Service of Russia for response measures.
