Works of art were moved across border without declaring
Vitebsk customs officers stopped an attempt to move works of art without accompanying documents into the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union through Urbany checkpoint.
A batch of modern posters, photos of different sizes and furniture followed through the Belarusian-Latvian border from Lithuania. During the inspection, the customs officers established that in addition to the goods declared in the accompanying documents in the cargo compartment, pictures, cardboard and plywood installations, and also ceiling metal lighting devices were additionally imported. 54 illegally moved items were placed in the cargo compartment among other goods obstructing their detection. The total value of the undeclared works of art amounted over 73 thousand Belarusian rubles.
