Customs officers stopped an attempt of illegal import of productsin a semi-trailer: instead of the beer declared in the documents, vegetables were found
During special events customs officers stopped the movement of RENAULT vehicle at the Belarusian-Russian section of the border.
The beer, which in fact turned out to be vegetables, movedinto the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union from Poland.
During the inspection of the refrigerated semi-trailer, it was found that 20 tons of topinambur, sweet potato, fennel, Brussels sprouts, and artichokes were illegally transported to Russia. The total cost of the goods was about 80 thousand rubles.
During further verification activities, customs officers found that a refrigerated semi-trailer with identical registration plates crossed the customs border through the checkpoint "Berestovitsa". In that case, "mixtures of fragrant substances based on alcohol solutions, flavorings" were moved from Germany to Russia.
Regarding the fact, OperationalCustoms initiated the administrative process in accordance with Part 4 of Art. 12.17 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The carrier's funds were seized. Examinations on the grounds of committing crimes under articles 380, 381 ("Forgery, production, use or sale of forged documents, stamps, seals, forms", "Forgery or destruction of the vehicle identification number") of the criminal code of the Republic of Belarus are carried out.
