The movement of transport carriers'vehicles on the territory of Belarus, whose drivers violated resolution No. 171, will be tracked using navigation devices
Transit road transport of goods through the territory of the Republic of Belarus, performed by carriers whose drivers violated the requirements of the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of March 25, 2020 No. 171, will now be carried out under the condition that navigation devices are placed on the cargo compartments of motor vehicles. This will allow customs authorities to track the movement of these vehicles across the country in real time. This innovation is enshrined in the decree of the Council of Ministers of may 25, 2020. No. 311 " the use of navigation devices (seals)", which comes into force on June 7, 2020.
Now navigation devices can be used as an alternative to customs escort, which customs authorities can use when detecting signs of non-compliance by carriers with the legislation of the member States of the Eurasian economic Union.
The alternative established at the legislative level will reduce the time spent on finding vehicles in the customs control zone, on performing customs operations in terms of document flow and transferring goods for customs escort, as well as significantly reduce the financial expenses of business entities.
The time for applying navigation devices (seals) is about 5-15 minutes. This process has been optimized and fully developed in the course of pilot projects conducted by the customs authorities during the year.
