A Kazakh carrier, which imported bulk cargo from Lithuania to the territory of the EAEU, tried to save 15,000 Belarusian rubles on customs payments.
Grodno customs officers at the Kamenny Log checkpoint, through which the vehicle was traveling, revealed a violation.
94 indoor and outdoor units of air conditioners arrived as part of the cargo transported across the border, for which the driver provided invalid documents. It turned out that the cost of the goods was intentionally underestimated by 23 thousand euros.
An administrative process has been initiated against the carrier in accordance with Part 3 of Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. He will be fined up to 30% of the value of illegally imported goods, which actually amounted to 110 thousand euros.
