During special operations on the Belarusian-Russian section of the border, Vitebsk customs officers stopped two attempts to transport large quantities of foreign-made goods from Russia using invalid documents.

Clothes, shoes, bags, auto parts, and others were imported by one individual entrepreneur in two trucks.

During the inspection, customs officers found that in the documents submitted for control, the sender and recipient are residents of the Russian Federation and did not make this delivery, the information about the goods themselves was also incorrect.

The total cost of the contents of the two vehicles exceeded 2.4 million bel. rubles. Goods worth 930 thousand white rubles were imported into the customs territory of the EAEU from third countries, and there were no documents confirming the payment of customs duties.

Vitebsk Customs has initiated administrative proceedings in accordance with Article 13.12 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for the imposition of a fine in the amount of up to 50% of the value of the administrative offense items.
