The working visit of the Chairman of the State Customs Committee Vladimir Orlovsky to Vitebsk began with an assessment of the state of affairs at the site of the transport and logistics center under construction.
The construction of the Vitebsk-Beltamozhservice shopping center is included in the "One District - One Project" program. It is expected that this will be one of the best complexes among its kind in the country. Most of the work at the facility has already been completed, and commissioning is scheduled for early 2027.
The area of the shopping center is 12.9 hectares, the warehouse complex is located on 5.6 thousand square meters and includes six cold storage rooms. There are parking lots for cars and trucks with a total of 130 parking spaces.
There is a railway and an airfield nearby, which means that it is possible to carry out cargo transshipment from cars to railway transport and vice versa, as well as multimodal transportation using air transport.
At a meeting with the staff of Vitebsk Customs, Vladimir Orlovsky outlined a range of priorities, taking into account the current situation, answered questions from employees, and spoke about new areas of tourism development in Belarus as part of a single information day.
The Chairman of the State Customs Committee also presented state awards to employees who achieved high results in law enforcement.
The visit ended with participation in a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the key topic of which was devoted to the effectiveness of socio-economic development of the region this year.
