Session of customs regulation subcommittee of Republican Organizing Committee for preparation and holding of II European Games took place at State Customs Committee

The State Customs Committee held a regular session of the subcommittee on customs regulation of the Republican Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the II European Games of 2019 in the Republic of Belarus.The event, which was held under the leadership of the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Alexander Bogdevich, was attended by representatives of the customs authorities, the border service, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Foundation for the II European Games of 2019, and other departments and organizations.On the agenda was a discussion of issues related to the organization of the unhindered movement across the customs border of goods necessary for the II European Games. 

In particular, the possibility of declaring goods with the use of the portal "Preliminary Electronic Submission of Information", placement under a special customs procedure. Special attention was paid to the preparation for the “Flame of Peace” relay race held as part of the Games.Attributes for organizing the Games, including sports equipment and photo and video equipment, may be placed under a special customs procedure. 

Also, goods imported directly by accredited persons in accordance with Annex 1 to the Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 107 dated December 20, 2017 “On certain issues related to goods for personal use” may be imported without paying customs duties and taxes regardless of cost and weight. The participants also discussed the preparation of information booklets on the procedure for moving goods for personal use across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union.
