Today in Minsk, under the patronage of the State Customs Committee, the X anniversary international scientific and practical conference "Development of Customs: Innovation, Cooperation, Security" was held.
The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Turchin, Chairman of the State Customs Committee Yury Senko, Head of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation Vladimir Bulavin and Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich made a welcoming speech to the participants.
The conference was attended by the Management and representatives of customs authorities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport and Communications and other Departments of the country, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, academia and higher educational institutions of our country and the Republic of Lithuania, participants of foreign economic activity and many others.
The conference was devoted to the consideration of norms of international and national legal acts in the field of foreign economic activity, prospects for improving the regulatory framework and law enforcement practice in the field of customs service, competent answers to current and relevant questions in foreign economic activity.
Particular attention was paid to the law enforcement practice, innovative tools for the development of customs service, multifunctional role of customs and integration processes of international trade.
Participants discussed in detail the reforms in the field of customs administration and their impact on the business climate in Belarus and Eurasian space.
Traditional holding of the conference clearly demonstrates that the interest of business, scientific community and customs services in this event is growing and strengthening.
Over the years, the event was attended by representatives of customs services, academia and business community of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, the European Commission, and the World Customs Organization.
Such event is a worthy example of a joint search for solutions and the establishment of constructive interaction between government agencies and the business community. Such events provide an opportunity for an open and constructive dialogue, sharing experience and joint decision-making on various issues.
