Grodno customs officers have identified another case of non-declaration of a large batch of goods. This time, confectionery and coffee with a total value of more than 950 thousand bel. rubles were illegally intended to be imported into the territory of the EAEU.
The cargo was traveling from Estonia to the territory of Uzbekistan, crossing the customs border of the EAEU at the Kamenny Log checkpoint. According to the information provided by the Uzbek carrier, there were coffee, sweets and confectionery in the Mercedes vehicle. The car was sent for customs inspection, as a result of which it was established that more than 15 thousand units of these goods were not indicated in the documents. The "savings" on customs payments in this case would amount to more than 36 thousand bel. rubles.
The Grodno Regional Customs has initiated an administrative process in respect of the carrier in accordance with Part 1 of Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus (non-declaration). The fine provided for this offense is more than 285 thousand rubles.
