During the operational search measures, the Operational Customs officers seized about 2 kg of hashish.
The drug was delivered by criminals from Poland, hiding it in a gearshift box.
In their explanations, they said that they had taken the box from an unknown person in a neighboring country, who asked them to transfer the goods for personal use to a person from Minsk. They allegedly did not know that there was a batch of drugs inside.
During further investigative actions, it was established that the recipients of the goods are two minors.
A criminal case has been opened against one of the criminals who imported hashish in accordance with Part 2 of Article 328-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of this article provides for imprisonment for up to ten years.
The Operational Customs is carrying out further measures and urgent investigative actions aimed at identifying all participants of the transnational criminal group.
