Gomel customs officers revealed another attempt to illegally import a batch of clothes, shoes and consumer goods of foreign production from Russia.

During a special event on the Belarusian-Russian border, customs officers stopped the movement of a Mercedez-Benz vehicle en route to Gomel.

Identifying the goods in it, it was found that there are no shipping documents for more than 21 thousand units of shoes, clothing, etc., including those confirming their customs clearance upon importation into the territory of the EAEU.

The total cost of the illegally transported shipment was over 540 thousand Belarusian rubles.

Gomel Customs has initiated an administrative process against an individual entrepreneur under Article 13.12 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 50% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense.
