Importing a batch of medicines into the territory of the EAEU, the Polish carrier attempted to save on customs duties.
This product was transported in a DAF vehicle from Poland through the Berestovica checkpoint, where Grodno customs officers detected the violation.
The driver provided the necessary documents for the medicines, but during customs control it was found that the information stated in them did not correspond to reality.
The value of the goods was intentionally underestimated by 53 thousand euros, which amounted to about 45 thousand bel.rubles of customs duties.
Grodno Regional Customs has initiated an administrative process under Part 3 of Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.
The Polish carrier will have to pay the missing payments and a fine of up to 30% of the value of the illegally imported goods.
