Operational Customs officers prevented an attempt to transfer 43 units of components for unmanned aerial vehicles to Belarus, the shipment of which is prohibited by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated September 25, 2023 No. 297.
The postal item addressed to the individual, in which illegally imported goods were detected during customs control, arrived from Russia. The components worth 8 thousand rubles were withdrawn.
The Operational Customs has initiated an administrative process in accordance with Part 1 of Article 18.38 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus. Liability under the sanction of the article is a fine of up to 30 basic units with confiscation of items of an administrative offense.
If such actions are committed repeatedly within a year after the imposition of an administrative penalty, criminal liability is imposed under art. 300-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. And here the maximum penalty is imprisonment for up to 2 years with or without a fine.
