Vitebsk customs officers from the Grigorovshchyna checkpoint stopped an attempt by a truck driver to import marijuana and hashish into the territory of the EAEU.
A transparent ZIP package with a substance of plant origin was found in the personal belongings of a citizen of Kazakhstan.
The second ZIP package with a prohibited substance, hidden in the hollow space of the window sill of the passport control module, was pointed out by a customs service dog.

Vitebsk Customs has initiated a criminal case against a citizen in accordance with Part 1 of Article 328-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of up to seven years in prison.
Verkhnedvinsky District Department of the Investigative Committee also initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
