Results of the work of customs officers using non-intrusive control: performing customs operations in 10 minutes without opening and unloading the vehicle
Customs control can be optimized through X-ray inspection complexes, which can be used to identify the transported goods without opening and unloading vehicles. It takes no more than 10 minutes for customs officers to obtain an X-ray image and analyze it.
The efficiency of using X-ray inspection complexes is also confirmed by the economic feasibility of their operation: in the first quarter of 2021, it amounted to 20 Belarusian rubles per one ruble of costs.
The use of non-intrusive control devices also has a positive impact on the overall performance of the work: about 340 violations of customs legislation have already been identified using the X-ray inspection complexes in 2021. The total value of the seized goods and fines imposed for violations of the law amounted to about 1.8 million Belarusian rubles.
The full-scale use of non-intrusive control in order to reduce time costs is stated in the Strategy for the Development of the customs service as one of the main tasks of the Belarusian customs for the next five years.
