The Departmental Institute of Customs Authorities has been accredited, confirming the high quality standard of education in the field of advanced training and retraining of personnel
At the beginning of the year, the State Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Customs Personnel of the Republic of Belarus confirmed its state accreditation.

Representatives of the Department of Quality Control of Education analyzed the organization of the educational process, its educational, methodological and scientific support, the material and technical base of the Institute and personnel support over the past five years.
In the future, the educational institution will focus on the development of distance learning and the organization of new professional development programs.
The previous year made an adjustment to the organization of the educational process, when distance learning became one of its forms. Thus, by the end of 2020, the departmental Institute of Customs authorities has improved the qualifications of more than a thousand specialists in customs declaration, 60% of them – in remote form.
Such training does not require the cost of renting premises, trips to the place of study, allows the student to independently plan the time, place and duration of classes.

The practice of conducting webinars has also proven itself well. Thus, in September-December 2020, about 190 trainees improved their professional competencies in the field of customs legislation on statistical declaration, determining the country of origin of goods, customs payments, customs value, tariff preferences, and the application of certain customs procedures. The webinars are attended not only by teachers of the Institute, but also by practitioners from the customs authorities of Belarus.
