At the checkpoint "Kozlovichi" Brest customs officers found in the legally moved across the customs border of the consignment of goods "top-up" of 14 thousand car filters.
The VOLVO truck was traveling to the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union with auto parts from Poland.
To verify the information stated in the documents, the vehicle were sent for customs inspection with the use of X-ray inspection complex. According to the received scan, customs officers found that more goods were moving in the cargo compartment of the car than stated.
More than 14 thousand automobile filters, customs payments for which would amount to more than 80 thousand Belarusian rubles, were not specified in the shipping documents.
According to preliminary estimates, the total value of the illegally imported cargo amounted to more than 300 thousand Belarusian rubles.
On this fact, the Brest Customs initiated an administrative process in accordance with part 1 of article 14.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus (non-declaration of goods subject to declaration). The sanction of this article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense.
